The American Legion, established by an act of Congress in 1919, was instrumental in getting the original GI Bill through Congress & the creation of the Department of Veterans Affairs. It is the largest wartime veterans service organization with nearly two million members & more than 12,000 posts throughout America.
The American Legion Coastside Post 474 is a small coastside watering hole located 1 block from Pillar Point Harbor in "Princeton-by-the-Sea" aka Half Moon Bay. A place for U.S. veterans, their families & friends to gather and enjoy swapping stories over a draft beer, shot or a specialty cocktail.
